HOW IT WORKS
The procedure involves five small incisions and takes about an hour. A small pouch of about 120cc in size is made in stomach by using stapling devices. The remaining stomach is removed while the gastrointestinal tract is kept unaltered. A leak test is done before completing the operation. Thus, the stomach size is dramatically reduced.
RESULTS
No use of silicone implants, great appetite suppression, lower risk of ulcer, no dumping, no vitamin or drugs malabsorption. It does not impair patient’s dietary habits, better weight loss than gastric banding and no complications.
