Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics is the epitome of excellence- providing the best bariatric and diabetic surgery solutions in India. With a team whose priority is patient care and infrastructure with prime and exceptional facilities such as intelligent operations theatres, HD Endovision and dedicated services for weight loss surgery like consultation, expertise and execution, Mohak Bariatrics has set a benchmark in the bariatric world. And yet again! It has been ranked no. 1 for the 6th consecutive year in the Times Health All India Lifestyle Hospital & Clinic Ranking Survey.
Hitting a six! It is a significant moment of celebration since Mohak’s team maintained decorum during these challenging pandemic times and remained determined to help patients. Under the guidance and vision of chief surgeon Dr. Mohit Bhandari – all necessary protocols were followed for health and safety. And Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics was able to perform around 100 surgeries a month in 2020-21 as well. This diligence is reflected in the recent achievement, where Mohak stood first under the bariatric category.
Being the most experienced team in Asia, who has performed more than 15,000 bariatric surgeries- Mohak Bariatrics centres have helped many. It has benefited more than 5000 type-2 diabetic patients in remitting their diabetes through bariatric procedures. The best part of the centre is it uses minimal access techniques (Laparoscopic Surgery). That leads to faster recovery, less post-operative pain, and near to minor post-surgical complications.
Undeniably, building a comfortable and amicable hospital environment and smooth execution is impossible without the guidance and vision of an expert. Mohak Bariatrics centre’s chief surgeon Doctor Mohit Bhandari is the youngest and the most experienced surgeon in Asia-Pacific. He has performed more than 15,000 bariatric surgeries- breaking records. Performing 53 surgeries – in just 13 hours and 20 minutes. His name is registered in the Guinness Book of World Records and World Book of Records. He also entered the Limca Book of Records in 2015 for performing five bariatric surgeries in 11 hours, with the help of 40 members team.
In 2017, he introduced the world of bariatrics in India to Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), a non-surgical weight-loss procedure. Devoid of incision and scars. His expertise knows no bound. He is the first Indian doctor to perform a single anastomosis duodenal-ileal switch and one of the first surgeons to perform bariatric surgery.
In 2012, he performed the first documented weight-loss surgery in India, on an Asian woman weighing 350 kgs and later in 2013, on a 6-year-old boy (the youngest person in India to receive this procedure). For his outstanding and exceptional contribution to bariatrics, he was honoured with IFSO Ambassador Award 2019.
Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics centre hope to keep adding feathers to its hat under such vision, diligence, and hard work of surgeons and staff. The priority is and will always remain patient health.
